After working her way back into the public eye, influencer Olivia Jade may be headed to the ballroom on national TV. The 21-year-old YouTuber is reportedly joining season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. We’ve got a few more details below, so keep reading to learn what could possibly be in store for her.
What can fans expect if Olivia Jade is joining DWTS?
TMZ was the first to post photos of Olivia Jade seemingly on the ABC studio lot for Dancing with the Stars. So, if it is eventually confirmed (ABC has yet to comment), fans can expect to see her in a lot of rehearsals. The YouTuber doesn’t have any dance experience, so her DWTS pro partner would have to work to get her ready to hit the dance floor.
According to reports, her partner may be Val Chmerkovskiy. Olivia was first spotted by the DWTS set on Tuesday, wearing a visor and mask. The news of her casting comes after US Weekly wrote that she and on-again, off-again boyfriend Jackson Guthy called it quits last month after getting back together for 2 years. Speaking of the magazine, they were the first to report other potential castings of Bachelor Matt James and Real Housewives of Atlanta Kenya Moore.
If she ends up being partners with Val, Olivia will be in good hands. Chmerkovskiy is a 2x mirrorball trophy winner: first was in season 20 with Rumer Willis, and the second time was in season 23 with Laurie Hernandez.
While Olivia hasn’t shared any posts yet, her most recent Instagram featured a mirror selfie with her dressed in a green two piece ensemble. She captioned the photoset with: “:’).” That was from two days ago, so if TMZ’s correct, her first DWTS-related outing was the day after.
Olivia may not have dance experience, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t bust a move when she can. Check out this video of her partying it up on New Years for proof:
If she can move in high heels like the ones in the video above, she’ll have no trouble with the fancy costumes or accessories they may throw at her on Dancing with the Stars. She’s also not the only young celebrity name competing on season 30. Olivia would join previously announced Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa and Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee.
ABC will reveal the full cast on the September 8 telecast of Good Morning America. Season 30 will premiere on September 20. In the meantime, be sure you’re following Olivia Jade on Instagram to see if she posts anything about her possible dancing days.
