Freeform’s ‘The Bold Type’ follows young women trying to make it in the hectic world of the fashion magazine known as Scarlet Magazine. Inspired by the former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine Joanna Coles, the show is full of drama, romance, and comedy. Plus there’s no denying the amazing outfits and makeup worn by the beautiful cast.

Jane Sloan
Jane (Katie Stevens) is a staff writer for Scarlet. She often has colorful lipstick and smokey eye makeup. Her makeup style is fresh and playful. To achieve Jane’s look, MAC Cosmetics lipstick in bright colors are often used to compliment the darker eye makeup from the Pat McGrath MTHRHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Palette and Chanel Le Crayon Khôl Intense Eye Pencil. She is also given a light blush using blush from NARS.
Kat Edison
Kat (Aisha Dee) has the most fun makeup looks out of the cast. Her eyes often show colorful pigments from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil. Her makeup is finished off with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and whatever lip color suits the look best.
Sutton Brady
Sutton(Meghann Fahy) is an intern that becomes a fashion assistant. She has a more natural makeup style. Her eye makeup is light, often using the Too Faced White Peach Eyeshadow Palette and Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter. Color is added into her look with the Buxom Shimmer Shock Lipstick.
