<p>In a time where all shapes, colors, and sizes are being embraced, the fashion and entertainment industry wasn&#8217;t always <em>as</em> inclusive. However, when the Puerto Rican, singer, <a href="http://blog.feelingthevibe.com/tag/jennifer-lopez">Jennifer Lopez</a>, fiercely-danced her way into the industry, she embraced her beauty and opened yet another door; becoming the first woman to have a number one album and film in one week.</p>
<p>Through the success of her first leading role in debut studio album <em>On the 6</em>, her various tours throughout the world&#8211;for <em>J.Lo, This is Me&#8230;Then, </em> and <em>Shades of Blue&#8211;</em>and raising a family, <em>Jenny from the block</em> seems to be aging backwards and she looks amazing doing it. How does she do it? Glad you asked because we uncovered (maybe she revealed) some of her top <a href="http://blog.feelingthevibe.com/celebrity-makeup-tutorials">beauty secrets</a>. <h4><em>“Play with it—it’s just makeup.” -Kevyn Aucoin</em></h4>
<p>As per said by Lopez&#8217;s biggest beauty influence and very first makeup artist, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/kevynaucoin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kevyn Aucoin</a>, &#8220;play with it&#8211;it&#8217;s just makeup.&#8221; Whether she&#8217;s inspired by her emotions or by what she&#8217;s wearing, the singer has never shy. J.Lo told <em>InStyle</em>, &#8220;<em>You can do all kinds of crazy things and then wash it off and start over</em>.&#8221;</p>
<h4><em>She&#8217;s still Jenny from the block</em></h4>
<p>Growing up in the Bronx, NY, Jennifer Lopez&#8217;s style from her big hoops, to her Timberlands, to her &#8220;bun-on-top-of-her-head&#8221; style is all very &#8220;Puerto Rican Bronx.&#8221; Lopez says growing up, she always felt like a tomboy and never felt feminine enough, but that didn&#8217;t stop her. Instead, she continued to go against the grain by unapologetically embracing her curves and culture.</p>

<h4><em>Morning workout</em></h4>
<p>Morning workouts are one of the key factors to her youthful glow. She says that working out in the morning loosens her up, makes her happy, and keeps her strong!</p>

<p>Who knew, this would be the first makeup line for the bronzed goddess, which launched in Macy&#8217;s on April 26, 2018. According to <a href="https://www.harpersbazaar.com/beauty/makeup/a20052157/jennifer-lopez-inglot-cosmetics-first-look/"><em>Harpers BAZAAR</em></a>, the collection is &#8220;massive&#8221;, consisting of 70 different pieces including matte lipsticks, highlighters, and nail polish.</p>

<p><strong>Stay Hydrated</strong></p>
<p>On an appearance on &#8216;Dr Oz,&#8221; JLo looked radiant and shared her top secrets with his audience. &#8220;Believe it or not, it does help keep your weight down,&#8221; she says. &#8220;<em>For me, it just feels good. It&#8217;s mostly what I drink all day</em>.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Catching ZZZ&#8217;s</strong></p>
<p>We all know just how busy JLo&#8217;s schedule really is. When she was asked how much sleep she gets per night, Lopez says she tries to get between 6 and 8 but she confessed, &#8220;I love 11 if I could ever get it!&#8221;</p>

<p><strong>Daily Meditation and Affirmations</strong></p>
<p>Beauty really does come from the inside out. JLo is a big believer on meditation and affirmations. &#8220;<em>We don&#8217;t even realize it but we operate on such negative thoughts all the time</em>,&#8221; she tells Dr. Oz. &#8220;<em>So much of what goes on in our minds and subconscious is negative</em>,&#8221; she explains.</p>
<p>How does she overcome the negative thoughts?</p>
<p>&#8220;<em>When I started paying attention to my thoughts, I changed them. I said thank you for sharing that brain but I am doing well, I am trying.</em>&#8221; Lopez says it&#8217;s very important to replace negative thoughts with positive ones and you will start shining from the inside out!</p>
