We’ve all been there. Were you messaging your crush and then immediately cringed after pressing send? How about the dreaded times you’re left on “read?”
You’re not alone! Instagram has an awesome feature just for this problem. If you want to take that message back as though it never existed, you can. How?
Go to your conversation thread on Instagram. Find the message you want to unsend.
Hold the message down for a few seconds until a menu pops up. It will most likely read Unsend Message, Copy Text, and Save Quick Reply. Press “Unsend Message.” That’s all there is to it!
We know you’re wondering, will it alert the recipient that you unsent that message? No! They will never know, even if they already read it you can still unsend it.
*Please note!* Unsending is different from deleting. Deleting will only take that message away on your side. The person you sent the message to will still see it. So, always make sure to “unsend.”
Now doesn’t that take a load off your mind?! Thanks Instagram!
