Hallmark Channel continues its Countdown to Christmas event with the premiere of A Nashville Christmas Carol, starring Jessy Schram and Wes Brown. Get more details below on the musically influenced film, including who’s who in the cast, what it’s about, when it will air, and even see a promo.
A Nashville Christmas Carol follows Vivienne Wake (Jessy Schram), a TV producer for a country music special, which not only showcases newcomer Alexis (RaeLynn), but has her crossing paths with her childhood sweetheart Gavin Chase (Wes Brown). Gavin is the manager of another famous performer, Belinda (Sara Evans); Vivienne’s managing this televised special, and a potential new job in Los Angeles.
She receives a visit from the ghost of her late mentor, Marilyn (Wynonna Judd), who brought the ghosts of Christmas Past and Present (Kix Brooks and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, respectively) to help Vivienne figure out her path. Will she choose this new job, or the chance to rekindle things with Gavin?
The two leads have not only been featured in previous Hallmark movies, but also have singing experience. Jessy Schram’s song skills were front and center in her most recent film, Country at Heart, while Wes Brown picked up his guitar for Over the Moon in Love.
Fans may also recognize Jessy Schram from her recurring roles on NBC’s Chicago Med as Dr. Hannah Asher, or on ABC’s Nashville as Cash. Coincidentally, Kimberly Williams-Paisley was also on Nashville, and now the two are starring in this same film together. A couple other credits for Jessy include leads in Falling Skies and Last Resort.
This isn’t Wes Brown’s first holiday themed Hallmark film either. He’s starred in five others in the last 4 years. He also portrayed Clark Davis in three 2011 Hallmark movies: Love Begins, Love’s Everlasting Courage, and Love’s Christmas Journey. Aside from those, he’s had guest spots on shows like Hart of Dixie and 90210.

As you can see from the preview above, a ton of country music stars make appearances, including RaeLynn from The Voice, Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn, as well as iconic singers Sara Evans and Wynonna Judd.
