Andi Dorfman, former Bachelorette on the ABC reality show, she is currently in a Single State of Mind.
After some failed relationships and a big move from her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia to the Big Apple, Andi has a lot to talk about.
After penning her first successful book, It’s Not Okay, she has written her second one. Andi has been hitting the press trail to dish on her brand new book, Single State of Mind, which is already a New York Times Bestseller.
Single State of Mind encompasses all of her adventures as a single woman trying to navigate the dating world in New York City, which is “disastrous” according to Andi.
She covers issues such as watching her ex-fiancé propose to another woman on Bachelor in Paradise, her dates on “Celebrity Tinder” and so much more.
Andi sat down this week with Access and Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family to give us all a sneak peek into her dating world.
When asked, “What is the hardest part about dating in New York City?” Andi let out an exasperated, “ugh” and goes on to say, “First of all, dating in New York City is disasturous. Someone was telling me the other day that for every 12 single women, there’s only 1 single man, so the numbers are not in your favor #1. Guys in New York City also have no attention span. They’re always looking for the greener grass. They think every corner they turn, they’re going to bump into some new model. It’s a dating rat race there.”

She also visited the set of Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family while in California to sit down with hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison who was filling in for Mark Steines.
Andi talks about the not so glamouros sides of the city. When Andi arrived in New York City, she had high hopes but it didn’t quite live up to those fantasies. The apartment hunting was comical and eye opening to say the least.
Host Cameron Mathison and Debbie Matenopoulos join in to agree about the tiny spaces you are given in the city for quite a hefty price tag. Andi reminisces on one apartment she saw where the sink was in the top of the toilet. True story.
All of this is covered in her brand new book, Single State of Mind, available online and in all major bookstores.
