Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is premiering another installment of the famous Aurora Teagarden mysteries this weekend. Candace Cameron Bure stars in the new film Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: How to Con a Con, and it’s sure to be an action-packed movie. When one of Aida Teagarden’s (Marilu Henner) clients is murdered, she calls her daughter Aurora (Candace Cameron Bure) to investigate. She, along with her fiancé Nick (Niall Matter) and her friend Sally (Lexa Doig) must try to figure out who did it before things go from bad to worse. Soon, they discover there’s a con artist scheme at the center of it all, and Aurora’s Real Murders Club must “con the con” into revealing themselves to solve the case.
Fans will know Candace Cameron Bure from her role as DJ Tanner on Full House and its Netflix spinoff Fuller House. She’s been starring in the titular role of the Aurora Teagarden mysteries since 2014. In addition to her Hallmark Movies & Mysteries work, Candace has done a number of Christmas movies for Hallmark Channel, and is considered to be “The Queen of Christmas.” Recently, she launched an apparel collection in collaboration with DaySpring.
Niall Matter is a Canadian-American actor who got his first big break in 2007 starring in The Best Years. He then went on to do some sci-fi work in series like Eureka and Primeval: New World. Niall’s also familiar to Hallmark fans, as he’s guested on When Calls the Heart, and starred in a number of holiday films for the network. He first appeared in the Aurora Teagarden mysteries in 2018.
Lexa Doig is best known for her role on Canadian-American sci-fi series Andromeda. In 2017, she was a part of the main cast for E!’s The Arrangement. This is her fourteenth Aurora Teagarden mysteries film as Sally.
Marilu Henner is known for her roles in the hit series Taxi and Evening Shade. She’s done tons of work in film too, both in feature blockbusters and made-for-TV releases. She’s been appearing as Aida in the Aurora Teagarden film franchise since 2015.
Ahead of the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film, the network has released a trailer, which you can see below:
Candace shared a sneak peek of the movie to her Instagram, which features she and her co-star Niall.
Speaking of Candace, she also gave fans a couple behind the scenes looks at the film. One features a funny filter on each of her co-star’s faces, while the other implies that there will be some action stunts.
Aurora Teagarden movies co-stars, Marilu Henner and Candace Cameron Bure don’t just hang out on set. They also spent some time quaranting together during the pandemic. What did they do? They filmed a fun Never Have I Ever video for their fans to see. Marilu shared it on Instagram.
She said, “Never Have I Ever” with Candace Cameron Bure. Love quarantining with my Aurora Teagarden daughter. Always a blast! Love my girl @candacecbure 💛 How great is this editing by @natashabure !?” She was referring to Candace’s daughter and YouTuber, Natasha who happened to edit the video.
