FOX’s newest show The Real Dirty Dancing follows eight celebrities who immerse themselves in the full Dirty Dancing experience by pairing up and recreating iconic dance scenes from the film. Transporting viewers back in time, there are special guest judges that help decide which pairs advance, and ultimately, who will be crowned the winning “Baby” and “Johnny.”
After a successful first episode on February 1, the show is back for another all-new episode on February 8, and we’ve got details for you below. Keep reading to find out what you can expect from episode 2, including who’s in it, what dances they’ll recreate, and more.

In the first episode, host Stephen “tWitch” Boss showed the contestants around the iconic Mountain Lake Lodge in Virginia, which was the real location for the film’s fictional Kellerman’s Lodge. Next, the couples performed a dance routine, each embodying the characters from the film – Baby (Jennifer Grey) and Johnny (Patrick Swayze). Check out a clip of Tyler Cameron and Loni Love’s routine, where they performed to “Hey Baby.”
According to the official episode description: “On the gazebo, the celebrity contestants re-create the famous maracas scene from “Dirty Dancing”; one couple is eliminated.” Last week’s premiere episode did not have any elimination; the contestants did vote on who they thought did the best “Baby” and “Johnny” though (Cat Cora and Tyler Cameron claimed those titles, respectively).
But, on February 8, the stakes are raised when one couple will be sent home. Not to mention, they’re learning new dances from the movie, including the famous maracas scene. In the preview for episode 2, it also looks like they will be tackling the famous lift scene on the lake. Check out some photos below.
Adding to the fun element are the celebrities getting into character with their hair, makeup, and outfits for each episode. Recreating the classic looks has to be easier than attempting the dances, but we’ll just have to wait and see how they do on the next new episode!
