Get the Scoop on Season 2 of MTV’s “Siesta Key” – Spoilers Inside!

THE NEW SEASON

Filming for the second season began around mid/late April of 2018, as evidenced below in the photos posted by Chloe and Cara. It appears as though they are at some kind of themed event, or perhaps a pool party.

Juliette posted a photo from Alex’s gala back in May, so if it’s anything like last years benefit, there is sure to be plenty of couples and catfights.

Some of the core cast were spotted out at a Halloween bash in October. Madisson’s current beau, Ben, newcomer Jared, Kelsey, Juliette, and Canvas were all in attendance. Hopefully this one doesn’t end up in a meltdown (RIP #Bradisson).

It’s also possible to expect even more epic hangouts, parties, and of course, confrontations – because let’s face it: when this group gets together, the lines between love and hate can get pretty blurry. One of the new cast members, Cara, posted this photo of the group in Miami, with the caption “lovehate.”

Brandon posted this photo of the gang together again, with a couple of marketing execs and a backdrop hanging behind them. Maybe they were shooting some extra scenes for the show! I’m sure we can expect huge revelations and even bigger emotions from the close-knit cast this season.

THE ROMANCE + DRAMA

Ah yes, everyone’s two favorite subjects: love and angst. Siesta Key certainly has both as these 20-somethings navigate heartbreak, new love, mean girls, and all-out bar brawls. The second season promises some new romance, plus major secrets that could lead to destruction and devastation.

One couple in particular that will get caught in the crossfire? “Jalex” aka: Juliette and Alex. Rumors ran rampant in October when the two deleted some couple-y Instagram photos, leading people to believe they had broken things off. If they did, it wasn’t for long, as the two were back on in December.

Could their breakup have anything to do with his ex (Cara) coming back into the picture? Seems like it caused them some issues in the season 2 trailer, so hopefully viewers can find out what went down in the new season.

Or, perhaps Cara will be causing trouble between Kelsey and Garrett’s attempt at a friendship? In the trailer, Kelsey confronts Garrett over his new girl. Could that girl be Cara? From the Instagram photo Garrett posted back in July, it certainly seems that way! Kelsey has her own boyfriend though (no official word if he’ll be shown on camera), so maybe her friendship with Garrett will work out after all.

If you’re wondering about Brandon and Madisson, while they’re no longer an item, they are both in new relationships: Madisson’s with Ben, and Brandon is with Camilla. Crossing our fingers that these two couples will stay afloat..course, you never know if the tide will turn. As Chloe says in the season 2 trailer: “Secrets are never safe in Siesta Key.”
