<p><strong>Tommy Martinez</strong> shared his acting journey in a recent issue of <em><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Grumpy Magazine (opens in a new tab)" href="https://grumpymagazine.com/issue-13/" target="_blank">Grumpy Magazine</a>!</em></p>



<p>Before starring as Gael on Freeform&#8217;s popular sitcom <em><a href="https://wud.tpx.mybluehost.me/website_9bd75fcc/?s=Good+Trouble">Good Trouble</a></em>, Martinez was unclear of his future. His journey began while taking college classes in Tallahassee, Florida. He shares how he was going through a &#8220;quarter life crisis&#8221; while he was failing his classes and unsure of what he wanted to do for a career. </p>

<p>Luckily, as fate would have it, Martinez made a connection with an actor working on a script at his college. After starring in his new friend&#8217;s short film, he realized this was a &#8220;pivotal moment&#8221; in his life. </p>



<p>He dropped out of college and signed a contract with modeling agency <em>Wilhelmina</em> in Miami. His modeling gigs allowed him to save up money towards his acting career. Martinez eventually moved to LA in 2015 to make his dream a reality.</p>



<p>The actor has landed roles on <em>Shameless</em>,<em> NCIS: Los Angeles</em>, and <em>Riverdale</em>. Martinez also shared that he is &#8220;beyond grateful&#8221; for his current role on <em>Good Trouble</em>. </p>

<p>The show takes place in Los Angeles following two main characters, sisters Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez). They are navigating the career world and soon find out about the harsh realities of being in both the tech field and legal world. </p>



<p>They thought embarking on independent life would be filled with fun but soon find it&#8217;s not as exciting as they expected. Find out about their adventures in dealing with new neighbors, new romances, and new challenges on the Freeform Network.</p>
