Hidden Gems is a brand new original movie premiering this summer. It’s part of Hallmark Channel’s “Summer Nights” 2022 event. The film has a stunning setting, a great cast, all the things Hallmark fans have come to know and love. What is Hidden Gems About?
Hidden Gems follows Addie (Hunter King), who is the maid of honor for her sister’s Hawaiian wedding. One day during a paddleboard yoga class, she loses her grandmother’s ring in the ocean. It’s a treasured family heirloom, and Addie’s not one to accept this unfortunate accident. So, she hires local dive instructor Jack (Beau Mirchoff) to aid in her search.
But, things immediately get off to a rocky start when lone wolf Jack clashes with eager Addie, who wants to go searching with him, since she’s Scuba certified. After coming to an agreement, Jack serves as Addie’s tour guide of the island’s hidden gems. Will exploring these beautiful, romantic places bring the two opposites closer together, or will their connection be lost at sea?
Who’s in the Cast?
Hunter King is an actress best known for portraying Summer Newman on CBS’ The Young and the Restless, and for her role as Clementine Hughes on the network’s comedy series Life in Pieces. Fans will also know that she’s the older sister of actress Joey King (The Kissing Booth), with whom she’s very close. You may also know her from the TeenNick drama series Hollywood Heights or from the found footage drama film A Girl Like Her.
Hunter even posted a snapshot from Hawaii, where the movie takes place. The fun caption reads: “Hunting for Mai Tais. Send recs.”
Beau Mirchoff is a Canadian-American actor known for his roles on MTV’s Awkward, and more recently, Freeform’s Good Trouble. His portrayal of Matty McKibben on the MTV series earned him a Teen Choice Award for Male TV Breakout Star. In 2022, Mirchoff departed Good Trouble on the heels of co-star Maia Mitchell, since their character’s relationship had come to a close. As far as his personal life goes, he proposed to girlfriend Jenny Meinen in August 2021, but a wedding date has yet to be revealed.
