It was Donnie Wahlberg’s big 50th birthday bash on August 17th and can we just say he makes 50 look amazing!
The NKOTB member was celebrated by all of his friends, family, and fans over the weekend in Chicago. His wife Jenny McCarthy planned the whole event with a Versace theme.
She told Us Weekly, “I’ll be paying this party off until I’m 90, truly.” The 46-year old “The Masked Singer” judge admitted, “I’m going as far as I can without filing for bankruptcy.“
Donnie’s youngest son Elijah (above), 17, was there as well, as were friends Robin Thicke, and NKOTB bandmates Jonathan Knight and Joey McIntyre (with his wife).
Donnie called out his wife Jenny giving her the complete credit on Twitter saying, “I thought I was a pretty good creative director, performer and party host — until my wife threw me and my son Elijah a bday party last night. She wins! #WifeOfLife”
Donnie’s birthday celebration didn’t stop when his party ended. He also got to sit down and go through amazingly thoughtful gifts that his fans aka the Blockheads sent him.
Wahlberg was so moved and tweeted this message out. “Sitting in aftermath of my 50th, sifting thru gifts (which I’m not good at accepting) and found one of the most thoughtful gifts ever! You may have to be a @nkotb fan, Blockhead, BH or NKFam to get it — but it so moved my heart! Personalized #confetti pieces from fans! #BHLove ❤️“
His NKOTB bandmate Jonathan Knight also tweeted after Donnie’s party saying, “Donnie’s party was a hit. Beyond my imagination of what it was gonna be! Happy 50th @DonnieWahlberg.“
