John Stamos’s fiancée, Caitlin McHugh appeared on KTLA 5 this week. She was introduced as actress, writer, and Disney connoisseur.
The host, Sam Rubin, continues on, “you have the most envied womb in history” in reference to John Stamos’s total heartthrob status. This news crushed girls around the world.
How did the newly engaged pair meet?
Caitlin first encountered John in an acting role with Law & Order : SVU. When asked if there were sparks initially, she said “no,” shocking America. She went on to explain that they were in different life situations at the time they met, but they definitely hit it off as friends because of their love of musicals and Disney.
Disney ended up playing a huge role in Caitlin and John’s relationship. He got engaged to his sweetheart with a big fairy tale display in Disney. How adorable is that?
Caitlin says, “it’s so fun to go there as an adult and pretend to be a kid again. I love dressing up, clearly!”
Caitlin embraces her inner child, often posting multiple photos in fun Disney costumes to her Instagram.

Caitlin and John wrote a short film together entitled, “Ingenue-ish” which will be screened at the Asians on Film Festival January 26 and 27th at the 7pm block. It’s a light-hearted comedy, starring Caitlin and Josh Peck (John’s former “Grandfathered” co-star) about a day in the life of an actress.
In the short film, there is a reference to Caitlin’s nationality. Josh Peck says, “Jennifer, what is she? She’s Asian, but she has freckles.” Does the ethnic ambiguity help Caitlin with acting roles? “Personally, I have found that it’s really helpful in modeling. Nobody can really pin what I am.”
What is her background exactly? Caitlin describes herself as “Philipino Irish but fully American.”
You can attend the Film Festival in Los Angeles, get tickets!
