Jeopardy! National College Championship is back with another new episode on February 11. The multi-consecutive night event features 36 students from 36 colleges and universities, all competing in the famous game show, answering questions on a variety of subjects. JASKARAN SINGH
Jaskaran Singh is a student at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Finance and Economics. The senior hails from Plano, Texas, is captain of his university’s quiz bowl team, and is fluent in three languages, according to his WayUp profile.
He wrote on Twitter about his appearance: “I’m going to be representing UT Austin in the Jeopardy National College Championship! The tournament starts February 8th on ABC @ 8/7c, and my episode will be airing February 11th @ 8:30e/7:30c, but make sure to tune into the whole thing! #JeopardyCollegeChampionship @Jeopardy”
MAX NILES
Max Niles is a student at Brown University, one of the most notable Ivy League colleges. The senior majors in History and Public Policy, and is from Washington, D.C. Max’s LinkedIn lists a couple internships for him, including being a Summer Associate at The Blue Lab, and most recently, a Research Intern at The Brookings Institution. He will graduate this spring, and is excited for what the future holds.
Max is super supportive of his fellow contestants on Twitter, retweeting mentions of them on his social media page. He also posted about his own appearance on Twitter, writing: “hi it’s me!! asking you to tune in to abc on February 11th at 8:30 pm to watch me play some trivia and represent @BrownUniversity in the Jeopardy! College National Championship @jeopardy #NextDayOnHulu (ofc)”
SARAH SALISBURY
Sarah Salisbury is a student at the University of Southern California, also known as USC. The sophomore hails from La Mesa, California, and is majoring in English. Like other contestants on the show, Sarah’s a longtime Jeopardy! fan; she took the test on a whim, but told ABC7 News she’s “super thrilled that it panned out.” In addition to majoring in English, Sarah is studying marine biology.
LIZ FELTNER
Liz Feltner is a student at Northeastern University, majoring in Political Science and Business Administration. The senior is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is passionate about the environment, wildlife, as well as sports like hockey. Liz created her Twitter account during the pandemic almost two years ago now, and revealed a fun fact about she and her fellow college contestants: they have a group chat – and they’ll see everything.
JESS AGYEPONG
Jess Agyepong is a student at Howard University, majoring in Biology. The senior from Silver Spring, Maryland is, according to her website, an “aspiring product manager” with experience in “venture capital and startups.” Jess has a minor in Chemistry, and is known for being an analyst, facilitator, and initiator in her professional field. Outside of work, she enjoys playing video games, collecting vinyls, and playing guitar.
Regarding her appearance on the hit game show, she wrote on Instagram: “Extremely excited to announce that I’m representing @howard1867 in the Jeopardy National College Championship! Come watch me compete in the first half of the show on February 11, 8/7c (next day on @hulu) (Photo courtesy of @jeopardy ) #jeopardycollegechampionship.”
KADEN LEE
Kaden Lee is a student at the University of Washington, majoring in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering. The junior from Medical Lake, Washington grew up watching the trivia show, and studied lots of subjects including geography and art history to prepare. Speaking of studies, there are a lot of areas Kaden can pursue within the major of Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering, including research or applied science.
