<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Mystery 101</strong>, the series of TV movies for <a href="https://wud.tpx.mybluehost.me/website_9bd75fcc/tag/hallmark-movies-and-mysteries/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Hallmark Movies &; Mysteries</a>, has been cancelled. The network responded to a few fan comments on social media on Sunday, and series star Kristoffer Polaha posted the news to his Twitter page. See their full statements below for more details. </p>

<h2 class="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading">What was the &#8216;Mystery 101&#8217; franchise about? </h2>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Mystery 101 were a series of made-for-TV movies that premiered on Hallmark Movies &; Mysteries. They starred Kristoffer Polaha and Jill Wagner as lead characters Travis and Amy, who sleuth and solve cases together. The movies quickly became popular amongst fans, and a total of seven films were made over the course of two years. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">However, fans quickly began to wonder what the status of their favorite films were. This is because the seventh (and now final) installment ended on a cliffhanger, which is uncommon for Hallmark Movies &; Mysteries to do. Not to mention, there hadn&#8217;t been any updates about the series since 2021, when Mystery 101: Deadly History aired. In the aforementioned movie, fans saw a time jump where, after confessing their love for each other, Travis arrives at a crime scene and is shocked to see Amy there. Plus, the victim at the scene was Amy&#8217;s fiancé, <a href="https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/mystery-101-canceled-hallmark-movies-and-mysteries-cliffhanger-1235593334/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Variety</a> reported. With so many loose ends, it&#8217;s no wonder fans were wanting answers. </p>

<h2 class="has-text-align-center wp-block-heading">Hallmark Movies &; Mysteries and Kristoffer Polaha Comment on Cancellation</h2>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Hallmark Movies &; Mysteries first got fans&#8217; attention when they posted that the second film, Mystery 101: Playing Dead would be airing on Sunday, April 23. The photo shows Kristoffer Polaha as Travis, and fans quickly inquired the status of the franchise in the comments. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Hallmark was originally answering generically, but then began to send out a slightly more personalized statement. &#8220;We loved making “Mystery 101” and we’re so glad you enjoyed sleuthing along with us. We want to let you know that our talented sleuths have solved the last mystery and are off the case. In the coming weeks and months there are exciting new mysteries ;on the way that we know you&#8217;ll love,&#8221; they replied on Facebook. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Obviously, fans weren&#8217;t happy to hear about their favorite mystery films being cancelled. But, some were more vocal than others. One fan commented: &#8220;You are going the wrong way by taking all the mysteries off. They were your best&#8221; while another wrote: &#8220;Wish they would continue it… love this show!&#8221; Others ranged from &#8220;very disappointed&#8221; to &#8220;very upset&#8221; on an emotional level, so they invested a lot into these movies. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Meanwhile, Kristoffer Polaha announced the news in a Twitter post, writing: &#8220;Well kids, looks like the cat’s out of the bag. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Mystery101?src=hashtag_click">#Mystery101</a> has solved its last mystery. You are the most incredibly supportive fans ever! We LOVE you! <a href="https://twitter.com/JillWagner">@JillWagner</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/robinthomas101">@robinthomas101</a> &; I had the most amazing time entertaining you by bringing Travis, Amy, &; Graham to life.&#8221;</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Much like the fans, he too was invested in these films, responding to a comment about re-releasing the seventh film to get a love declaration. &#8220;Or shoot a wedding scene. We love a happy ending,&#8221; Polaha replied. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Kristoffer&#8217;s still hopeful, so maybe fans can be too. In the meantime, he will be starring alongside Bethany Joy Lenz in a Christmas movie for Hallmark Channel called A Biltmore Christmas. It was the first 2023 holiday film announced for the network. His former Mystery 101 co-star Jill Wagner has not appeared on Hallmark Channel since 2021. She has since moved over to Great American Family, appearing in films like A Christmas Miracle for Daisy and A Merry Christmas Wish. </p>
