Hallmark Channel is rolling out another original holiday film this season, and On the 12th Date of Christmas is sure to be heartwarming. On the 12th Date of Christmas stars Australian actress Mallory Jansen as Jennifer, an ambitious game designer who’s paired up with her less-than-enthusiastic colleague Aidan (Tyler Hynes) on a project for the Devonshire hotel. They have less than a week to prepare a fun, romantic, and “12 Days of Christmas” themed scavenger hunt around the city of Chicago — and they both want the promotion to head game designer. So, if their work is outstanding and wins over the hotel chain, they might just get their business and score a promotion.
As they work together, they discover that they actually have a lot more in common than they thought, including great ideas. Later, when Jennifer and Aidan realize they both want that promotion, they have to decide what they want more: a new job, or a new relationship.
Fans may known Mallory Jansen from her recurring roles on Freeform’s Baby Daddy and Young & Hungry. She was also known for her roles on ABC’s Galavant, and for her 19-episode arc on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. She’s studied acting in New York City; this is her first Hallmark film.
Tyler Hynes is a Canadian actor that’s been in the business since he was 7. Aside from his notable roles on Saving Hope and 19-2, he’s also held lead roles in many Hallmark Channel films, including last year’s Countdown to Christmas movie Winter in Vail.

On the 12th Date of Christmas is the fourth new holiday film for Hallmark Channel, and is slated to premiere this weekend. The network has released a first look at the movie, which you can check out below:
Ahead of the Sunday premiere, Mallory Jansen posted a trailer on her Twitter page:
She also posted some behind the scenes photos of how they shot the movie during the pandemic, captioning it: “The new normal.” We’re sure it was interesting shooting not only in August for a Christmas movie, but during this time with a mask!
