Who here loves The Kelly Clarkson Show? Us too! Kelly is fun, real, and totally entertaining.
On Friday, she welcomed famed country music singer and mother-in-law, Reba McEntire as a guest on her brand new NBC talk show.
Clarkson starts, “when your friends and family with someone who comes on your show, it’s awkward,” as she laughs. She goes on to explain that she ended up marrying Reba McEntire’s son Brandon Blackstock in 2013. The 64 year old country star responded, “Thank goodness!”
She peers out into the audience and exclaims, “I’ll clap to that one too!”
We can see the admiration goes both ways. Clarkson gushes over her mother-in-law saying, “You’re a businesswoman, you’ve conquered Broadway, you’ve conquered TV, movies, animated films. You have done everything you could possibly want to do!“
So Kelly and the rest of the audience is wondering what is it that she would like to tackle next? “I would love to do an authentic western movie or television show,” she reveals.
So wait, how did Kelly Clarkson end up marrying Reba McEntire’s son anyway?
Well back in 2012, Brandon’s father Narvel was managing Kelly’s career and introduced she and his son at the Super Bowl XLVI. Clarkson revealed she knew Brandon for six years but he was married for that time period. It was when he became single again did she get her chance!
The couple now have two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander.
