<p class="has-medium-font-size"><em>Big Little Lies&#8217; </em><a href="https://wud.tpx.mybluehost.me/website_9bd75fcc/tag/shailene-woodley/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Shailene Woodley (opens in a new tab)">Shailene Woodley</a> has just wrapped her latest film, <em>The Last Letter from Your Lover</em>, and we&#8217;ve got details on the project for you below. Keep reading to see who is starring alongside Shailene, as well as the sweet comment one of her <em>The Secret Life of the American Teenager</em> co-stars left on her Instagram photo. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">WHAT&#8217;S SHAILENE&#8217;S NEW FILM ABOUT? WHO ELSE STARS IN <em>THE LAST LETTER FROM YOUR LOVER</em>?</h2>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">Shailene&#8217;s new movie, <em>The Last Letter from Your Lover</em>, follows the love story between Shailene&#8217;s character Jennifer, and Callum Turner&#8217;s character, Anothony. A journalist named Ellie (portrayed by Felicity Jones) finds the love letters, and makes it her mission to track down the real-life couple. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">The film is based off the <a href="https://amzn.to/2M9F6xu" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="best-selling novel by JoJo Moyes, who wrote Me Before You (opens in a new tab)">best-selling novel by JoJo Moyes, who wrote <em>Me Before You</em></a>, which was also turned into a movie in 2016. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size"><a href="https://www.aol.com/article/entertainment/2019/12/17/pda-joe-alwyn-is-a-proud-boyfriend-with-taylor-swift-at-cats-premiere/23882687/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Joe Alwyn (who's dating Taylor Swift) (opens in a new tab)">Joe Alwyn (who&#8217;s dating Taylor Swift)</a> stars as Laurence in the film; Nabhaan Rizwan and Ncuti Gatwa round out the principle cast. It was originally set to be filmed in Spain, but production moved to the UK in mid-October, and filming wrapped after 45 days on December 15. </p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Shailene served as an executive producer on the film, and is so excited for what she&#8217;s helped create. The movie, directed by Augustine Frizzell, is classified as a romantic drama and will be told as a dual-narrative. </p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">On her most recent Instagram post, Shailene received all sorts of sweet comments, but one in particular caught our eye, as it was from her former <em>Secret Life</em> co-star, Molly Ringwald. Molly portrayed Shailene&#8217;s TV-mom for the 5-year run of <em>The Secret Life of the American Teenager</em>; though current TV viewers may have seen Molly as Archie&#8217;s mom recently on <em>Riverdale</em>.
