Hallmark Channel may be rolling out fall films for their seasonal lineup, but their newest movie still has a bit of summertime left in it. South Beach Love stars Taylor Cole and William Levy as rival quinceañera planners who both arrive in Miami to help their families out. South Beach Love Plot + Cast
South Beach Love follows Sara (Taylor Cole) as she caters her niece’s quinceañera. But, the 15th birthday celebration has an unexpected twist: her old boyfriend, Tony (William Levy) returns to Miami to plan his own niece’s quinceañera. The once-close pair find themselves competing to win the cover of a magazine, which also pits their families against each other. Can their families mend fences; plus, will Sara and Tony’s reunion lead to a rivalry, or a romance?
Taylor Cole is a familiar face in the world of Hallmark Channel, having been in numerous films for the network, including the trilogy One Winter Weekend, One Winter Proposal, and most recently 2021’s One Perfect Wedding. She actually met her husband on one of her movies – he’s a Hallmark producer named Cameron Larson – and the two got married during quarantine last year. Feeling the Vibe reported on the wedding, which was intimate due to the pandemic restrictions, but nonetheless, a gorgeous day for the duo.
While it’s William Levy’s first time in a Hallmark movie, the actor and producer is no newbie when it comes to entertainment industry. He told FOX 13 News he actually used to watch the network to help with his English – he’s Cuban-American and grew up in Cuba before coming to the US. So, when he got offered the role, he was very excited. Prior to this film role, you may have seen him in the TV series’ Star, The Tempest, or more recently, The Scent of Passion. He’s got quite the social media following too, with 8.4 million on Instagram.

Even though the film is set in South Beach, Miami, Florida, filming actually took place in St. Petersburg, a city in Pinellas County. The same FOX News outlet reported on the location, citing Will enjoyed the Cuban food they received on set. They were next door to a Cuban restaurant, so he got to experience authentic cuisine, like croquetas, a fried Cuban food consisting of potatoes, cheese, fish, or meat.
The movie is based on a book by Caridad Pineiro, who’s published with Hallmark’s own imprint. Andrea Canning, best known for her NBC News and Dateline contributions, wrote the screenplay, according to Taylor Cole’s behind the scenes Instagram post. You can see it in full below:
