The Voice is back for an all-new season, full of awesome celebrity guests, and of course your favorite judges! Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine are returning, plus John Legend has joined the judging panel for this season. In addition to the judges, there are a few celebrity advisers, including Brooks & Dunn, Kelsea Ballerini, Charlie Puth, and Khalid. Who are the judges – and who is newcomer John Legend?
The judges for season 16 of The Voice include 3 returning favorites: pop singer Kelly Clarkson, pop-rock frontman Adam Levine, and of course, country crooner Blake Shelton. Singer John Legend joins the cast of judges this season too.
Kelly Clarkson became the first to win American Idol back in 2001, which launched her career to superstardom. She’s released tons of top 40 hits, including 2000’s favorites “Since U Been Gone” and “Behind These Hazel Eyes.” She’s also a wife and mother, balancing work and family life beautifully.
Adam Levine is probably best known for being the front-man of pop-rock band Maroon 5, who was also known for their many 2000’s hits like “She Will Be Loved” and “Wake Up Call.” Adam also performed with his band at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show! You may also be familiar his wife, Victoria Secret model Behati Prinsloo. They were married in 2014.
Blake Shelton has always been one of the most unapologetic country stars in the industry. From his brash tweets to friendly banter with fellow judge Adam Levine, he’s not one to shy away from the spotlight. His musical success is #1, but a close second is his relationship with fellow musician Gwen Stefani. The couple went public with their romance in November 2015 (after Shelton’s split from Miranda Lambert and Gwen’s subsequent divorce from Gavin Rossdale).
John Legend is known for his soulful R&B tracks, but he’s also known for being married to hilarious host and model Chrissy Teigen. They have 2 kids together and have been married since 2013. Their Instagrams and sweet tweets to each other are what keep them a fan favorite (and #couplegoals amongst millenials). What can viewers expect from this new season of ‘The Voice?’
There are some really talented artists on the “Battle Adviser” board this season. On #TeamBlake this season are legendary country duo Brooks & Dunn, while #TeamAdam has music sensation Charlie Puth.
#TeamJohn tapped R&B artist Khalid, and #TeamKelly recruited country diva Kelsea Ballerini. Ballerini recently joined Clarkson on tour – check out the cool Instagram below!
