Torrey DeVitto has a new man in her life. Over the weekend of April 30, she was seen in Cincinnati, Ohio cheering on the Chicago Cubs baseball team. But, there was one person in particular that she tagged in her Instagram post about her trip: Cubs manager, David Ross. While the duo didn’t have a photo together, she tagged him in two separate photos in her Instagram slideshow, seeming to confirm a relationship between them. Torrey DeVitto: a quick refresher on her last relationship
If you recall, last fall Feeling the Vibe reported that Torrey DeVitto was dating Blue Bloods star Will Estes. Similarly, also in October 2020, Torrey was a part of Wolf Entertainment’s first “Unscripted” series video, where she talked about how she and her boyfriend were quarantined together back in March.
They survived that, but their relationship didn’t make it to any of the fall holidays like Thanksgiving, as Torrey went back home alone to spend time with her family. By Christmas, it was clear that she and Will had broken up; both of their Instagram accounts were cleared of their photos together.
Torrey had been enjoying the single life, and stayed busy with work. Filming for her series Chicago Med is still happening; their sixth season is almost to the finale episode.
Get to Know David Ross, Torrey’s new boyfriend
David Ross had a 15 year professional baseball career with MLB. He began his career playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers, before moving on to play for teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, and the Atlanta Braves. He’s won two World Series: the first in 2013 with the Boston Red Sox, the second in 2016 for the Chicago Cubs. 3 years later, the Cubs signed him as their manager.
As far as his personal life goes, he used to be married. He married his high school sweetheart Hyla Ross in 2005, and they share 3 children: Landri, Cole and Harper. The Chicago Sun Times announced that their divorce had been finalized in 2020. The kids live in Tallahassee, Florida (where David used to live between seasons) with their mom. Now, David resides in Chicago, which is likely how he and Torrey met.
Torrey’s always been an avid sports fan, attending soccer and baseball games with her cast mates. She hadn’t posted anything like that in a while, until May 2. She spent the weekend in Cincinnati cheering on her boyfriend’s team. The Cubs faced off against the Reds on April 30.
Torrey posted about her whirlwind weekend, writing “#cincinnati sights. #SaveTheBestForLast . 😍” Not only did she tag David’s IG handle twice, she included a photo of him from afar with a heart drawn around it.
Torrey’s former PLL co-star Brant Daugherty commented on her post, asking why she was in “Cincy” as that’s where he’s from. She replied to his comment, writing that her “boyfriends team was playing in Cincinnati this weekend!” So, if that’s not confirmation of a relationship, we don’t know what is.
