Great American Christmas is returning for its sixth season, bringing another lineup of heartwarming holiday films to fans across the country. Leading the charge for December is The Ornament Library, a World Premiere Original movie starring fan favorites Merritt Patterson and Ryan Paevey.
Fans are thrilled that they get to see one of their favorite actresses, Merritt Patterson twice in one year. Earlier in the year, she starred in “Meet Me in the Margins” based off a best selling book.
Written by Ainsley Gordon, this emotional holiday tale pairs two of TV’s most beloved leads in a story centered around nostalgia, community connection, and the timeless power of holiday traditions.
What Is The Ornament Library About?
In The Ornament Library, meticulous librarian Alice Montgomery (Patterson) and local newspaper reporter Noah Conrad (Paevey) stumble upon a hidden room beneath their town’s historic library. Inside, they discover hundreds of forgotten Christmas ornaments—each tagged with handwritten memories and personal stories spanning generations.
Determined to reunite each keepsake with its rightful family, Alice and Noah embark on a heartwarming mission. Along the way, their search rekindles a cherished town tradition, binds the community together, and leads them to discover that the greatest gifts of the holiday season are the memories and people we keep closest to our hearts.

The on-screen chemistry between Merritt Patterson and Ryan Paevey is already shining through off-camera! Merritt recently took to Instagram to share a hilarious behind-the-scenes blooper reel from the set. In the clip, the co-stars accidentally bump into each other during a scene and immediately burst into an uncontrollable fit of giggles.
It’s clear the cast had a blast filming in Cedar Ridge, and that genuine connection promises to bring plenty of warmth to the screen this December.
